We should take a lot of heart out of this narrow defeat to this Division 2 side, as in patches in the first half and for all the second half we outplayed our opponents. We found ourselves 2-0 down at the break, as Woodstock took full advantage of us giving away possession in bad areas, but with a few changes at half time we became a stronger side. Hawksey and Arthur look a good combination up front and it was the former who got us back into the game after powering home the latter's corner. Robbie, Hoops, and Smithy all then began to run the show from the centre of the park and we were unlucky not to come away with a win or at least a draw from this game, as a number of our attempts were happily snapped up by the Woodstock keeper.
If we continue with the passing and movement shown in the second half with the squad we have gathered we should be looking for a big improvement on how we got on last season.
